Mike Goddard is a fantastic potter who was taught by Hugh Casson and Lucie Rie at Harrow in the 1970s. He still works and has studios he used in Kent, France and the West Indies! This hand thrown and carved teapot is a beautiful piece of craft ceramics which beautifully shows his years of skill in creating a piece that could be used every day!
It was admired but never used in a private collection for the last 10 years, but WOW have been asked to sell it.
The animal on the lid reminds one of Ian Godfrey's pieces and not many of Mike's pieces have this feature so it is pretty unique. Priced realistically to sell at £55. His tea and coffee pots on line are now around £90.
