Inspired by a bank of Irises in Caroline's garden, this image was created from a simple drawing etched into a metal plate, which was then aquatinted to create different depths of colour by burning again in the acid.
It is individually printed in blue on cream paper with torn edges. On printing the etched plate leaves an indent in the damp paper which measures 20.5cm high and 16 cm across.
In blue it is stunning. It is sold as an unframed print wrapped in cellophane so you can chose how to frame it. This printed plate also comes in a dark mauve
