Etching of large Mushrooms with an oak leaf on creamy white paper

Etching by Caroline Salmon - Parasols for Breakfast - Edition of 9

Regular price £65.00 Sale

My friend insisted on eating these huge white mushrooms for breakfast, and in case they were "not good" I drew them on the prepared etching plate I had in the house! He was fine and this is the print - made suitably nasty by the blue green colour. The plate  was printed using the one ink application process in an edition of 9 of which this is the last. The plate was then aquatinted as Moonlit Mushrooms and printed in brown, the brown prints are available on this website.

They plates were individually printed on cream paper with hand torn paper edges.

On printing the etched plate left an indent in the damp paper which measures 22.5cm high and 13.5cm across.

Prints are sold unframed print wrapped in cellophane, allowing the purchaser to frame as they desire.
