This simply shaped heritage piece was made in porcelain in London by Phylis Dupuy probably around 2010. She is now better known as a portrait painter, but this was made when she was a full time potter.

It has a base of a beige glaze which seems to have a subtle gold inside. Onto that turquoise glaze  has been painted, which is most defined along the rim  where it alternates as triple "peaks" and spots! That glaze has a tendency to run which undefined the patter at lower levels. Tiny Gold leaf flecks were applied before its final controlled low firing -  which was just enough to make them "stick" but not fire away! An interesting and rather beautiful piece if you love clever ceramics.

The vase is about 12cm tall, with the lip being 12.5cm in diameter.
