This wood engraving print is an edition of 50, 5.5cm high x 3.5cm wide in dark brown ink on cream paper. It was Inspired by a bunch of colourful Anemone flowers. The prints are sold unframed, wrapped in cellophane.
These little prints are created using tools from my great grandfather who was a skilled wood engraver who did this professionally.
Wood Engravings are small as they are engraved on end grain Box or Sycamore. The designs are hand printed without a press, so they don’t have the indent you would find on an etching.
For info: These little prints are best framed with a double layer of mount, any good framer can cut them! All my prints have a waney edge created from the tradition of tearing the paper into the desired size rather than cutting it.
