"Pairs" as printed here in dark grey on cream paper, comes in an edition of 4.

This drypoint was inspired fruit on a table in Caroline's house.

Drypoint prints are  created by drawing & scratching with a pointed metal implement, on a metal plate where when inked, the ink remains in the crevices, allowing the untouched area  to be wiped clean by a smooth cloth. The plate is then put face down on damped paper, and run through a press under considerable pressure, making an indent impression on the paper in the same way that an etching would. Drypoint plates flatten when printed, so plates created that way  only ever get used for short runs.

Plate is 7.5cm x 24,5cm It is printed on cream paper with torn edges.

These prints have hand torn edges and come wrapped in cellophane. The plate is also available in soft colours and in dark brown on cream on this site.
