Original Print - Aquatinted Etching, which started with a sugar lift process.
Inspired by a break in the Tamarisk hedges at West Wittering, this image was created from a simple sugarlift painting on a metal plate, which was then aquatinted to create different a slight variant of depth of colour by successive burns in the acid.
It is individually printed in brown on cream paper with torn paper edges. On printing the etched plate leaves an indent in the damp paper which measures 14.5cm high and 19.5cm across.
In soft brown colour has created a subtle print. It is sold as an unframed print wrapped in cellophane so you can chose how to frame it. a same sized but slightly darker brown image "Seaside Silhouette" is available.
